Diego Lorenzo and Toni Leviste ensured a 1-2 finish for the Philippines in the South East Asian Games individual showjumping event. They were the only two riders to finish the two rounds of the individual final without penalties. Indonesian Ardi Hapsoro Hamidjojo came closest to challenging them, but a single time fault in the first round meant the veteran had to settle for bronze.
Diego kept his cool amd jumped another clear round in 38.38 seconds in the jump-off with his mount Grace 292. It was heartbreak for another SEA Games veteran Toni Leviste as her horse Magic had one knock-down. They finished with 4 faults in 41.22 seconds.
Malaysia's individuals Sharmini Ratnasingham and Muhd Nabil Ismail were not competitive over Olaf Petersen's 1.40m track. Sharmini picked up 8 penalties in each round, while Nabil had 12 penalties per round.
